All about the 3 Nights / 4 Days Camping Program In Munnar.

Munnar, a small hamlet set amidst dramatic mountain scenery covered by tea plantation. After checking into the hotel, we have time to acclimatize, walk through the mountains or tea plantation and orient ourselves to the challenge ahead.

Munnar is a beautiful hill station on the Western Ghats at about 1600m above sea level. It was once a summer resort of the British Government in south India. The town is situated at the confluence of the three mountain streams Mudirapuzha, Nallathanii and Kundala and is surrounded by lakes, reservoirs, forests and several tea estates.

Starting Point: Munnar Town, 1:00 pm

Ending Point: Anaerangal (optional drop to Munnar via jeep, at additional cost)

Additional Rs 5000/- for Rhodo Mansion instead of Base camp at Meesapulimala.

  1. Day1 Day 1
    • Start from Munnar Town, towards Meesapulimala Base Camp/ Rhodo Mansion at 1 pm on a jeep through tea plantations. After reaching base, trek to the camp.

  2. Day2 Day 2

    TheSecond highest Peak in South India that can be trekked derives its name from its resemblance of the tiger’s face, but majorly because of the grass that grows here, which resembles the tiger’s (puli) moustache (meesha).     • Start at 8 am after breakfast
    • Trek up to the summit of Meesapulimala – the 2nd highest peak of South India, (2637 meters).
    • We continue trekking towards Kolukkumalai, World’s highest organic tea estate.
    • Dinner will be served at 8 pm.
    • Night stay at Camp.
  3. Day3 Day 3

    Kolukkumalai is a small tea plantation village near Munnar. It is renowned as one of the highest tea plantations in the world. Also, the tea grown in this region is supposed to have the best flavor because of the high altitude. You will get a chance to see the processing of tea in one of the oldest tea factories. This is the perfect opportunity for you to learn more about the work that goes into tea manufacturing. The next time you sip a cup of tea, you will be able to remember this beautiful experience.

    • Start the day at 5am with a walk to watch Sunrise in one of the breath-taking locations.
    • Breakfast at the base camp at
    • Enjoy the factory (Orthodox tea) visit and learn more about tea.
    • After visit, start the tea plantation trek, towards Anaerangal Base Camp.
    • Packed lunch will be provided.
    • Reach the campsite by evening and enjoy the rest of the day.
    • Night stay at the camp, enjoy the lake view from the camp.
  4. Day4 Day 4

    Morning check out after breakfast and head towards Thattekad.
