All about the Top Valley Trek.

This trek becomes one of the best treks at Kottagudi, Munnar, to view the landscape and explore some of the endemic birds of the region. We trek on the ridges of Western Ghats, Eastern Slopes which offers spectacular views of the plains of Tamil Nadu. The second highest peak in South India, the highest tea estate in the World “Kolukkumalai” etc can be also viewed.

  1. Day1 Program
    • Drive of 26 kilometres from Munnar towards Top Station through some of the main sightseeing spots of Munnar like Madupatty Dam, Echo-Point, Kundala Dam etc. (45 minutes to 01 hour drive to the starting point).
    • Trek starts with tea plantations which lead to tea plantation village and then to evergreen Shola forest, montane forest and grassland.
    • Our trek starts at the height of 1800 meters MSL (approx) and the highest point of the trek is about 2250 meters MSL.
    • Trek finishes at (near) Top Station and a drive back to Munnar
